On the heels of our acclaimed film Israel Inside: How a Small Nation is Making a Big Difference, we are launching a new feature film that will change the discourse about Israeli soldiers. Beneath the Helmet: From High School to the Home Front documents the dramatic transformation of five Israeli high school graduates who are drafted into the army to defend their country. Looking beyond uniforms, the film explores recruits’ personal lives, dreams, fears and dilemmas, defining the human face of Israel’s military and the inspiring young people who make up the IDF.
