The Skokie Community Fund (the Fund) announced today that it is seeking collaborative proposals for capacity-building and program grants for its 2014/15 grant cycle. The proposal application form is available on the Fund website: www.skokiecommunityfund.org.
Proposals will be accepted through midnight on Tuesday, September 9, 2014.
To qualify, two organizations must co-apply to either provide services to Skokie
residents or build capacity for greater service to Skokie residents. One of the two coapplicants must be a 501(c)(3) organization, a school, or a government entity. The maximum grant amount awarded will be $5,000. The Fund intends to award $25,000 during this inaugural grant cycle.
The Fund requests proposals addressing any aspect of community including arts and culture, basic human needs, community development, early childhood education/early learning, education, environment, family support/counseling, health, housing, seniors, workforce development, or youth. “We are thrilled to support collaboration in Skokie with this first-ever grant cycle,” says Executive Director, Kristin Winter.
Grants will be awarded in October 2014 for use in the 2015 calendar year.
