Save the date for the Associated Talmud Torahs of Chicago’s 2015 Annual Gala, Raising Expectations for the Next Generation, honoring Scott "Shalom" and Elisheva Klein with the Barney Goldberg Young Leadership Award and Rabbi Yehuda and Mashi Polstein with the Evan Goldberg Maling Innovation in Jewish Education Award. Position of Controller for Educational Non-Profit Organization

Job Description

  • Process payroll and benefits
  • Administer disability and life insurance plans for  organization and  affiliated schools
  • Create and send monthly invoices
  • Administer prepaid cards for JFE, MIE, and Summer Camp programs
  • Create and monitor budget by department/program with Committee
  • Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP and coordinate audit
  • Perform monthly intercompany reconciliations
  • Manage cash flow
  • Perform monthly bank, investment and loan account reconciliations
  • Create ad-hoc financial reports
  • Manage bookkeepers
  • Complete and administer regulatory data
  • Manage grants
  • Assist schools with grant submissions
  • Maintain financial and personnel documentation
  • Bachelors in Accounting/Finance or prior experience in related position
  • Knowledge of fund accounting per GAAP
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Customer Relationship Software and Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook

unnamedThe ATT thanks the community for its enthusiastic support of its 2015 Awards Presentation and Annual Meeting, An Evening With the Stars, held May 13th. Nearly 300 people gathered together to elect the 2015-2016 ATT Board and honor ATT students, teachers, and volunteers as they received various awards and scholarships. Following the presentations, a Glittering Star Reception was held where the celebration continued with more photo ops of the awardees and delicious refreshments.

Dear Skokie Mayor Van Dusen and Village Trustees,

 

The Dempster Street Merchants Association is a team of businesses focused on revitalizing and modernizing this historic street, especially here in Skokie.  We recognize the past, but we are building for the future.

 

In today’s economy, access to high-speed data networks, or high speed Internet, is essential to operate efficiently, better serve customers and truly compete in a global marketplace.

 

Businesses in surrounding villages are benefitting from the faster internet speeds and competition in communications networks provided by the U-verse network from AT&T.  Businesses in Skokie should too.

 

That’s why the Dempster Street Merchants Association strongly supports bringing AT&T U-verse to Skokie.

 

High-speed internet networks are essential to virtually every business in every industry, including our members in professional services, retail, automotive, education, health care, insurance and news and media services.

 

This is a very good product from a reputable company seeking to bring new services to benefit our village.  We’re fortunate to be a community with a strong economy.  But we must continue to advance our infrastructure, and broadband is the economic development infrastructure of the 21st century.

 

For our businesses and our economy, we encourage you to take action to bring the AT&T U-verse high-speed internet network to Skokie.
